Twice a year, the project opens a pop-up exhibition of new work by an artist you have not heard of yet — and will.
The opening is a private party. The guest list is small and deliberate: collectors, designers, editors, and the people whose taste travels. The work on the walls was made in the six months before you walked in, and most of it will be gone by the time you leave.
The exhibition
A show that closes a term.
Each cycle ends with a pop-up hosted by the project in a New York space chosen for the work. The artist is present. The work is priced and available. A portion of every sale returns to the project, which is how the next artist’s six months get paid for.
The Raia Collection
One body of work, built one artist at a time.
From every term, the project retains a first look at a selection of the work produced. Together those pieces form the Raia Collection — a record of a single point of view applied to a decade of emerging artists, and a collection that will travel.
The list
Openings are by invitation. Ask for one.
Collectors, patrons, and people who want to support the next artist can request a place on the list for the next opening, or ask about supporting a cycle directly.
